So some people have suggested a honey piston for bedrock edition, which would have the block spitting ability of Java's pistons.
Now that could end up being a mess of parity, as what would the Java honey piston do.
Here's my idea:
To prevent either existing piston from being changed, honey pistons would function more as a toggle for block movement.
If the block it stuck to when extending was not extended, it would extend the block out, but most importantly leave it extended even when retracting, but only from that action.
Then, if a honey piston extended to stick to a block that was already extended, it would only pull it back in.
