I've had a few feedback posts disapproved, and I can't quite tell why most of the time, I follow the guidelines to the best of my ability and always look for other posts of the same concept before posting (and even then, I've had a post approved that linked to other posts with similar themes before)
So my suggestion is this: When a post is not approved, an email is sent to the poster with a reason for the post not getting approved, maybe even with a suggestion for what they could do better in future posts, and a copy of the post itself so they could try again with the suggestions in mind because when a post isn't approved there's no way of saving it (unless the post wasn't approved for harassment or self promotion, at which point it should be deleted with no notification or copy sent to the poster)
Example:
Your feedback wasn't approved because we found it was:
- Too similar to another feedback post (link to that post)
- Had multiple ideas
I just think knowing what we did wrong could improve all feedback going forward, since some people might not even know their post didn't get approved and so they'd try again taking the suggestions into account or they'd go vote on the post that was similar enough to theirs that it got their disapproved
