What I want to cover, is that Minecraft Animal Farms have a sort of reputation for being kind of... Bad? Now I'm not saying Animal Farms are bad in general, I'm saying Minecraft Animal Farms could be more realistic than just shoving a bunch of cows into a pit.
I think Farm Animals could have better Breeding mechanics and requirements. Of course, if a player doesn't want to go out into the world to get food or resource, they will build a farm. But in order to breed more animals, maybe they could use some new requirements, or they won't be able to breed. This would literally force the player to give the animal the realistic things that a farm animal needs, and would defiently help make Animal Farms look a whole lot better and realistic. Maybe in order for farm Animals to breed, they need Open spaces and fields, Roofs for Cover, Other members of their species, without these, the animals may feel too uncomfortable in their environment and will not breed.
These requirements for breeding will force the player to give more respct to their needs, and would make Minecraft less unrealistic as a Fantasy game gets.
Plus, it doesn't ingrain into younger players heads that animals are to be kept in small cages or pits in the ground. I for one give my farm animals huge cages for them to roam in even if they don't even require it as a mob.
I don't think this would be very hard to implements, and honestly a whole farm update needs to be done, this is just one problem I have with our farms.
