Informing news about events

Me and probably a lot of Minecraft players do not get the latest news about Minecraft(cape redemption events to be more specific) and this is kind of frustrating me. This happens due to this specific reason: An average minecraft player just want to open the launcher and play the game. They nearly never check news on minecraft's websites and social media pages. So why don't you just add the articles informing about those events into the launcher instead of some stupid articles about realms??? We don't even care about them, you know? 

P/s: I've just found out that I've lost the opportunity to claim the twitch cape so I'm quite mad rn.
