Cowlin

This mob spawns in groups of 2-4 in the soul sand valley. It cannot be milked and it likes iron items in a similar manner to piglins liking gold.

  • The player can barter with Cowlins using iron ingots.
  • They wield iron swords, iron spears or bows.
  • A player wearing any piece of iron armor makes cowlins neutral to the player in a similar manner to piglins.
  • Cowlins will attack any skeleton it sees.
  • They have a small chance to wear iron armor.
  • Unlike piglins, cowlins will not attack players that open containers, but do attack players that mine iron blocks.

    Cowlins deal more damage against iron golems than the player because cowlins like iron.

    Baby cowlins are scared of hoglins and baby cowlins can use crossbows to attack. If a cow gets struck by lightning in a pale garden biome, it becomes a zombified cowlin.
