The Deep Dark. A place of silence and death and fear, but more than all of that, a simple colony. The Warden is what everyone sees when going down there, but the thing is, it is simply a guardian of the colony. Not sentient. Just fulfilling its role as protector and returning to the sculk from which it came. But what I am suggesting, is AWARE. It feels, it breathes, it thinks. The Sculk Hivemind, the center of the organism, the brain, the thing which desires to spread and conquer all things not sculk. It would look like a pulsating, aquamarine blue crystal, with sculk growing from the base. It would be a VERY unique boss, if you dare. The way to initiate the fight, is to simply let yourself be heard within its “palace” of sculk, a chamber of sculk bone and sculk encapsulating the Hivemind, and then cause it pain, by breaking a catalyst within the chamber. It would then open up from the top, like a crystaline mouth, and shriek violently, signaling the start of the fight. The fight is two stages, the first is fracturing the crystal while avoiding the tentacles springing from the ground and walls, the sound wave attacks from the center crystal, and the smaller crystals growing from the roof and falling down on you. The second phase after you fracture the crystal, is to escape the dimension. The Hivemind’s body rips violently out of the ground, being a floating crystal with sculk tentacles and body below, attached to the crystal. When you return, it is dead, and you are rewarded.
