Alright, picture this: you've reached the Stronghold, and you've stumbled across the Library. You see a couple of chests and loot them. Other than the aesthetics, there's nothing more to this room.
Let's change that!
Of course, the entire Stronghold deserves a revamp (in my opinion), but this post will deal exclusively with the Library.
Essentially, I want Libraries to be a labyrinth within the labyrinth, little mini challenges that you can quickly do before you go the the End. This is how I envision it:
- They would be constructed in a standard maze style.
- Loot chests and silverfish spawners could be randomly found in dead ends.
- Chiseled bookshelves would be used to make secret passageways between maze routes and maybe contain secret treasure.
- In the middle would be the best loot, but it could not be obtained without a challenge. (Maybe a miniboss referencing the Minotaur in some way? Please tell me your ideas!)
In conclusion, this would be great to add because:
- It would add much-needed interest to Libraries and Strongholds in general.
- It would open opportunities to add unique loot and mobs to Strongholds.
- It would just be fun to play through!
