Minecraft Bedrock Touch Controls

I have started playing Minecraft on my iPad recently. I was disappointed to discover that the controls were completely changed from the standard directional buttons. In the touch settings, I was able to access the direction controls. However, they have been completely changed. Not only do they look completely different but the position of them on the screen has completely changed. They have made it much more difficult for me to play as they are almost in the middle of the screen. I am used to the old nice controls and it seems that it has sadly been ruined. I tried using the feature to customize the position of the controls. However using this, I was still unable to set the controls in the old and usual location. This issue has made it very difficult to play and has ruined my experience. Second, the hotbar barely works now. I am constantly tapping the next item in the hotbar and it isn’t changing. It is very difficult to change the items I am holding. It seems so unresponsive. These problems have really disappointed me as I have always enjoyed this game. It seems that as you guys are trying to improve, you have made the game completely worse and almost unplayable. I know this feedback may have been very negative but I want to ask for an immediate fix. An option to have the original controls in the original position would be greatly appreciated. The game is unplayable for me and I would like to enjoy playing again. I hope you guys can quickly resolve this.
