add pokemon

i like pokemon please add it i realy like it it is a fun game i like it i like pikachu and pickachu should be in minecraft so that i can catch it and the other pokemons so there are the trainers like ash and pickachu trainer i want pokemon and you will rename the game pokemon blocks.

  sorry to down this idea but if they tried to add Pokémon to Minecraft it would probably get them into LEGAL ISSUES and if they renamed the game, it would be pointless as the game cannot have Pokémon, also if they renamed the game again it would be pointless as the game name describes the main idea of the game so if they did it would not make sense.

  Yeah, sorry, this will likely never be a possibility for these reasons:

  • Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, and I doubt Nintendo would be okay with this.
  • Pokemon is a completely different genre from Minecraft, and it wouldn't fit the overall theme of Minecraft
  • There are now over a thousand Pokemon, which would mean Mojang would have to spend decades adding all of them to please all players
  • The name will never change from Minecraft, as Minecraft is a super iconic name

  I would just recommend getting a Pixelmon mod.
