Redstone replacement

Copper could replace restore in Minecraft, it would give copper a use, and make Minecraft more realistic. You could mine copper, and then make wires instead of redstone dust. You could use buttons and levers, and you could also add a battery, which makes the charge longer, out of copper and iron.
