Time for a render/chunk/optimization upgrade

I think its time for a huge upgrade in the way Minecraft Java generates chunks, and render distances and such. Seeing mods like Distant Horizon working with lod letting huge render distances exist needs to be implemented in normal minecraft and also updating how chunks are generated so its speed up and less of a performance hog for both the client and server. There's tons of mods that help with this but its obvious normal minecraft need to do it on a base level. At the same time shader support should be officially added.

I think Mojang should either hire or work with expert modders(and other experts) who optimize the game so we can bring Minecraft to the next level in performance, optimization and graphics.

I'm sure the Java 21 upgrade will help but more can obviously be done as seen by the optimization and graphical mods that are being created and has been created.

    +1. I'm not usually a modded Minecraft guy, but Distant Horizons has singlehandedly renewed my interest in this game. I've been playing on and off since alpha first released, and being able to actually see the infinitely generated world without the framerate dropping to slideshow-levels feels like the first natural evolution I've seen in 15 years. Before more clutter is added, something like DH should be implemented as a priority, especially for the sake of the paid realms servers.
