The 1.20.70 update significantly altered the user interface (UI) for the mobile version of Minecraft, particularly in terms of the D-pad’s usability. Changing the established controls in a game can be quite challenging for existing players as they adapt to the new mechanics. Notably, this game has maintained its traditional controls for several years. As a player myself, I find it quite perplexing, and since the update, I haven’t been able to enjoy playing Minecraft as I used to.
While it might seem reasonable for players to make an effort to adapt to the new controls, I wonder whether this update truly warranted the burden it placed on us. In other words, I dislike being inconvenienced by an unnecessary update. If there was a reason for this update, I’d appreciate a clear explanation. Conversely, if it wasn't necessary, I'd like the pre-update D-pad to be reinstated as an option.
