Recently the Wind Burst enchantment was changed to now require players to perform a smash attack to trigger its effect. I believe this was done for game balance and so that players now have to use the mace for its intended purpose, which I agree with.
However, many people are upset that this bug fix removed the fun prospect of two players using the wind burst enchantment to launch off each other and parkour together. This led to a brief time where parkour maps surrounding this unintended feature were being made, but now it is no longer possible.
So, I propose the change that any entity or player that is under the effect of Wind Charged is able to trigger a mace's Wind Burst. This is the best solution I could come up with of all my brainstormed alternatives, as I think this one gives player the most control over the enchantment, preserving the 2-player Wind Burst parkour while not letting players have easy access to immediate combo attacks against enemy mobs.
This can also add to the chaos that ominous trials create, as players may want to watch out for enemies under the effect of Wind Charged when using their mace. But at the same time, if they can plan accordingly, they can use that perceived downside to their advantage.
