Let's talk about the new Minecraft Launcher Home Page!

In the official Minecraft Launcher, we have just released a new feature under the “experimental” banner: The New Home Page.  

This new Home Page aims to be your basecamp into the Minecraft experience on PC. Here, you can do all the most basic Launcher functionality, from launching games, to accessing Quick Play, to finding out News about what’s going on in the world Minecraft.

If you want to give it a try, go into the Launcher’s “General” Settings tab, scroll down to the “Experimental Features” section, and click the “Enable HomePage” option. Once you do, your “News” section will change to the brand new “Home” layout.  

We would love to hear your feedback as we continue fine-tuning the Home Page. We want to know what you think and how this works for you, so please feel free to add your comments and thoughts under this post. Along with your general feedback, we also have some specific questions we’d like you to consider: 

  • What do you find useful about the new Home Page? 
  • Are there any key functionalities you feel are missing? 
  • Does anything feel like it’s in the wrong place? 
  • Was anything you’re used to accessing difficult to find? 
  • Is there anything you see here that you don’t think you need?

    I'm not sure if the current launcher needs work, there are more areas such as the game, that needs attention instead.

    The new launcher looks alright, just don't see why the current one needs any changes. Making it look more simplified doesn't necessarily make it more simplified, transitioning into a different launcher again won't be ideal for a lot of people.

    I consider that the tab to add versions (installations) is missing or I cannot find it.
    It would also be good to place a small button that allows us to go to an aspects tab.
    Outside of those 2 security features, the distribution and appearance of the home page is very well designed.

    The new homepage has a lot of potential, I like the new splash-art and the latest news on the right side. However, the patch-notes view on the bottom has it's patch-notes thumbnails very low-resolution. And, another idea which would be very helpful to Bedrock content creators (hobbyists and professionals) would be to have some form of file-view or option to launch the game with a certain selection of Global-Resource-Packs or to enable certain behavior/resource packs on a world opened via Quick-Play.

    The new home page is very nice. It is a little busy (too many things on screen), and i cant find out how to see my installations (release, snapshots, moded, etc.). Does anyone know how to do that? Also, is there a way to set the home page as a default?

    The only thing a really want in the new homepage is a way to quickly switch accounts. This is in earlier versions of the launcher, but at some point the "add account" button changed to the "switch account" button. Now to switch accounts I have to re-sign in like 5 times with 7 loading screens and passwords.

    Me gusta mas como esta ahorita, es mas colorido y todo esta a la vista para configurarse. No siento lo mismo en el nuevo.

    hey, i think this is a good addition to the game, but they could place the Start button in the bottom left corner. (Please change the "Minecraft for windows" to MINECRAFT BEDROCK. thanks for your consention.)

    I mean it's great and all but i want that you can make FREE servers with it up to 100 players max and then 6GB Of ram is max for free

    would be great by the way feather client is a bit bad cause of a error that says that Invalid Server, Please Edit, and yeah that's all pretty annoying

    The new page is very good. I would like them to remove that ugly 
    warning symbol for unofficial installations of
