/tick should work in datapacks!!!

The /tick command is great, but you can't use it in datapacks and command blocks. Why??? As a map maker I was looking forward to using this, just to find out that it's too high permission to use. On multiplayer it's an easy fix, but on singleplayer it's impossible to use. That's so stupid, it limits map creators for no real benefit. I understand not allowing /tick query, but why not the rest?

This is a petition for mojang to allow /tick to be used in command blocks or atleast datapacks.

    I mean it's not literally a petition, you can't sign it. But you can upvote to hopefully get Mojang to see it. There's no good reason to block it (besides tick freeze which is reversible with file editing)

    Just to clear it up, the /tick command is only runnable as an operator player because it requires a higher permission level than command blocks / datapacks have by default.

    However, I do think it's changeable if you run a server, but it would be fun to have without owning a server.
