The Bolt

Lightning-based breeze-like rod creature that would fire a lightning-based projectile that would stun entities it makes contact with. The bolt would have a dash ability, that would allow it to very quickly rush towards players, causing them to be knocked back and stunned. This attack would require a second to charge, as to give players time to prepare. The bolt would have movement patterns similar to that of the breeze, and would have a standard melee attack, for players that get too close. Likewise, when threatened the bolt would deploy a temporary lightning-based shield, that would negate oncoming projectile attacks and stun any players attempting to melee. When killed, the bolt would drop bolt rods, which could be used to craft bolt charges. Bolt charges would be a throwable projectile, that would cause any entities hit to be temporally stunned. Bolts could be found during thunderstorms, or possibly defending a new structure. The bolt would be a unique rod-based mob, that would add a challenging and novel experience for players to encounter during thunderstorms.
