As everyone at Mojang should already be aware, people are absolutely fuming about how your company has handled copper bulbs. To make people feel better about them, I suggest your team creates a "1 game-tick copper bulbs" gamerule for the Java Edition of Minecraft that's disabled by default (for parity sake)
When enabled, the copper bulb will have a delay of 1 game-tick, though will cause parity issues with non-java (and far buggier) edition of Minecraft. This gamerule will be decided on a per-world/per-server basis, though can be modified after the world's creation or after a Minecraft server shuts down.
If the "1 game-tick copper bulbs" rule is enabled on a server, users on the non-java edition of Minecraft will be blocked from joining the server as to prevent critical bugs from appearing on the non-java user's device.
In my mind, this will bring the best of both worlds with regards to the copper bulb, as parity will be balanced with the technical Minecraft community's desire for complex redstone creations.
PS: This will stop the Minecraft community from being so ticked off when it comes to your company's decisions (for now at least)
