Inventory management - Selection mode

I'd like to suggest a new feature that would make building with various block types from the same material much faster and more convenient. Currently, it's quite cumbersome to constantly open and close the inventory to switch between different block variations, like dark oak planks, stairs, fences, etc. Here's my idea: Hold "E" while holding a block: This activates the new selection mode (no visual changes to the hotbar, the items will just switch like they currently do when clicking "F"). Scroll wheel: Rotate through all available variations of the block material you're currently holding. (e.g., Scrolling while holding dark oak planks would cycle through dark oak stairs, fences, buttons, etc.). The selection would respect the blocks order in the creative inventory, ensuring a predictable and familiar experience. Locked Hotbar Slot: While holding "E", scrolling wouldn't affect your hole hotbar slots (the 9 slots at the bottom), It would only effect the currently select slot ( 1 of the 9 slots). This way, you can quickly check for available variations without accidentally swapping your held block. Benefits: Faster Building: This feature would significantly reduce the need to open and close the inventory, streamlining the building process. Improved Workflow: Easy switching between block variations would make building more efficient and enjoyable. I believe this addition would be a valuable improvement for Minecraft players, especially those who enjoy building.
