Illager patrol captain giving bad omen

In the latest snapshot 24w13a if you an illager patrol captain, it will drop an omnious bottle. Instead of applying bad omen to you directly, this lorewise doesn’t really make sense. The dragon's breath can be obtained by scooping up the ender dragon's breath attack or the purple effect clouds caused by dragon fireballs in an empty glass bottle. If the illager patrol captains if killed left a lingering bad omen effect you could get with an empty glass bottle or by standing in it, it would be cooler and would make more sense lorewise.
