Chest Minecarts to boat layout

There's an issue I'm having with the chest Minecarts where if I create a long tunnel, the chest Minecarts won't make their way to the other end of the tunnel due to the player render distance. So I had to walk/run all the way to the Minecart to follow it by foot. I've been doing some thinking of that issue and I came up pretty quickly with the idea that they should be changed to be like the boat chests. This would obviously allow for the player to sit in it whilst transferring much more stuff. It would still be able to be used as for what it once was.
