Catching and Transporting Small Terrestrial Mobs

I know that larger animals have the lead to bring them places and you can put a lead on just about any mob, but it would be nice to see some kind of easier way to catch and transport smaller mobs like bees, frogs, bats, silverfish, and chickens that didn’t involve using a lead the same way you can put axolotls and fish in a bucket; perhaps a net of some kind, which would be especially useful if insects were ever added into the game in future updates.
