How are 3d tools cursed at all? Also, the mace was originally in dungeons so i think it should have that model. The mace is an elemental weapon, similar to the trident. the trident has a different holding texture then the inventory texture. The inventory texture can say the same, but a 3d holding texture would make more sense logically.

well first. the mace looks amazing as it is with the current model. second. in all the years that Minecraft has been around, Mojang has never ever added a 3d stick texture to the game, and neither that breeze rod or blaze rod texture. if they did that now, that would for one look extremely cursed, and 2, be impractical because it would bring on the idea that they should make more 3d textures which they don't need to do. finally, i don't care about Minecraft dungeons in my opinion because i personally think that adding D.L.Cs and updates to that game has taken time an unnecessary attention away from the main game, java edition, meaning that connecting content from mc dungeons up to vanilla was never one of my priorities and i could not care less. and one more thing, the trident 3d model works because the trident is so thin that the 3d model is a pixel wide, making it take up less screen space. if the mace got a 3d model it would take up too much screen space and block all of your activities.

Your statements doesn't make sense. When you're referring to the trident's entity-model versus the trident's item-model, you're literally bringing up an example of Mojang adding an item with a 3d stick(rod) model as a part of an existing entity-model. So Mojang technically have already done that. Also, both entity and item models are 3d. Yes, they're both slim/flat. The entity-models for building block (e.g. stone_block), are 3d models (cube shape).

We're asking for something Mojang has previously done.

    • Simply take the Trident model

    • Cut off the trident part, leaving you with the rod

    • Shorten the rod's length to the length of a mace

    • Make the rod thicker

    • Take the 3d model of any existing building block, resize and combine it with the shorten, thicker rod

    • Retexture the model

    • And done. Note: the Mace doesn't always need to be spherical-shape nor sharp.

We're asking for an actual entity model. The current model looks like the item-model after dropping it onto the ground. The flatness of the model makes it look like a shorten, double-bladed axe; not a mace.

    Now that's CURSED.

Your argument about this change, could cause a domino effect, won't happen. The recent/new animals added, are more detailed than the original OG animals (pig, cow). Notice they didn't get updated models after all these years???

I don't know why you're concerned about a 3d model taking up too much screen space. The 3d model should take up, less space than your shield.

the spyglass also has a 3d handheld model but a 2d inventory sprite, along with the trident

the mace would look so much better if it was 3d
