I find it really strange that Trial Chambers are underground, especially after the most recent snapshot. Everything about them, like the Breeze, the new armor trims (bolt and flow), the banner patterns (flow and guster), and the copper blocks all scream out a theme of wind and lightning to me, neither of which appear underground.
Move them to the mountain biomes. There are plenty of structures underground, and this will add more value to mountains. I personally think the entrances should be in Cherry Blossom/Meadow biomes, with the more dangerous sections higher up in the mountain. This also fixes the problem of the entrance being hard to find.
Make the rooms more open to the outside and add lightning rods around to increase the challenge. Imagine if a Breeze knocked you off the mountain.
Make the structure itself or a reward influence thunderstorms. They're a very tedious part of the game that could really use a way for the player to activate them. I think there should be a block that activates them deep within the structure, turning on when it's first entered and ultimately being togglable when the player reaches it.
I personally think Trial Chambers are being held back by its location, and that moving it to the mountain would be insanely cool.
