Now you can throw your new weapon (Mace) by using "Drop selected item" (Q by a standart) and deal damage to entities! It also need a 3D-texture and get an special entity version (dropped_mace maybe). So now you can just drop it on someone's head (like an anvil) and deal damage.
About an update to feature that already exists: when you falling with a mace in inventory and hit an entity, you will deal an area damage (maybe on 2-3 block radius) around you. But if you throw (drop) it, then only 1-block damage. Then you can just go and grab it back.
