Mobs attack you instantly, which can be a large trouble sometimes and very often limits your pve options (and also limits updates kinda)
Add attack charging for mobs, so they swing their hands/weapon before attack. It would help mace, because you'll no longer take damage from being near them for a nanosecond (which is requirement for melee). And it would also grant posibilities to add new mechanics (in datapacks f.e.) like parrying, dodging.
