let mobs use shields, sweeping edge, cleaving, etc - rework shields, they should not block all damage, at most a shield when blocking should negate 70% of the damage being inflicted, this way you cant just cheese every mob with a shield, also make it so mobs can jump and on rare occasions crit the player, this offers a much bigger threat to players, also add stance breaking, you already have shield disabling so make it when the player is hit by a critical attack from maybe a new weapon (maces, long swords,battle axes,colossal swords, battle hammers), it temporarily disables all weapons and sprinting, There should be something to counter a totem of undying, perhaps a potion effect that temporarily prevents the totem from resurrecting the player, a mob/ boss could use this effect to actually pose a threat to late game players. Let potions be stackable up to 5, add a splash potion for darkness. Make it so dragons breath when consumed makes the player more resistant to End crystals and the dragons breath attack, This would literally fix the current state of pvp, no more shield spammers, no more crystal spammers, servers might actually update to the newest version of the game
