Redstone and Copper for no signal stregth decay

As we now have copper could we get a version of redstone dust that does not have a signal strength decay, of course this would be more expensive than redstone itself (im thinking Redstone + copper+ string/slimeball) and redstone would still be useful in "early" systems and Comparator setups but the new item would allow for larger contraptions without the added lag of all the Comparators Repeaters or even Instant reprater contraptions that is currently required for larger builds.

of course, as requested multiple times elsewhere this could also be able to be placed on all sides of a block, not just the top and possibly be resistant to water or able to be waterlogged without issue.
