so far, i like some of the changes made to villagers. i think the biome specific trades are interesting and having those guaranteed trades does remove the RNG aspect of villager trading, which is nice. however i think the trade for mending specifically should be reworked.
unlike all the other master trade books, mending does not have a viable alternative to acquire it. there is only fishing and chest loot, which are both incredibly RNG based, rare, and just not a realistic alternative for most players. mending cannot be gotten from an enchantment table, while all the other master trades can.
this poses a huge issue for acquiring mending, especially on servers or worlds with a limited border. if theres no swamp biome accessible to players, then getting mending is just out of the question. this is unfair, and makes acquiring the enchant even more RNG based than the old system.
i propose that mending should instead have a chance to replace the master trade of any librarian in any biome, so that it is still possible to get no matter the circumstances. or provide some other alternative way to acquire mending that is realistic for most players to get (and not just one or two books, enough for all their gear which is what most players would need).
