Wind charge Redstone

It has come to my attention that wind charges can be shot from dispensers. Now hearing this information upfront, I thought of several ways I could use this in steam punk machinery making long pipes that you have a dispenser shoot wind charges through to make a form of wireless Redstone, a long-range communication device that, using wind charges, could send messages through the air and to your friend's base. But there is one flaw when it comes to wind charges that makes all of this very hard, IF NOT IMPOSSABLE, too do. The varied flight patterns that wind charges have when being shot out of a dispenser. This mechanic while it might add some new way to make random number generators. COMPLETLY BREAKS all attempts at long range communication using wind and turns a cool windpipe-Redstone into a complicated and tedious process, while at current state I can find work arounds I am much oof the opinion that instead of flying in a random direction when being shot out of a dispenser, should fly in a straight line to make more effective for varied Redstone use. I can manage some things without this change I would appreciate a straight-flying wind charge to make Redstone easier and more efficient.
