Reevaluation of Combat Mechanics in Minecraft 1.21

Hello Mojang,

I've been working for several years on developing Minecraft servers and I've noticed that many players have criticisms regarding the combat mechanics from versions 1.9 to 1.20.4. Many prefer the mechanics of 1.8 due to faster PvP and the absence of attack cooldown. Because of this, many Minecraft servers haven't migrated to version 1.20 due to the low number of players who enjoy the new mechanics.

For example, my server focuses on FullPvP/Rankup minigames, which center around combat. I would like to convey this information to the director of Mojang or to a representative, as this is not just my observation, but a concern shared by many other players.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope that these considerations can contribute to future improvements in the game.

    What they need is to update combat to contain the best of the two different forms of PvP. With some new thought out mechanics added to this new form of combat, this would lead to a good combat update fitting 1.21’s theme. Practically all they’d need to do is revisit and revise the combat snapshots to be ready for release with the rest of 1.21.
