If skulk were to spread in the nether, It would look dried up/bleached out since it probably requires moisture to grow. If shriekers attempted to summon the warden in a region of the nether, it would be weaker & probably not take a human-like shape since there’s no city-worth of souls to make it. Instead, it would take on a warped appearance, subsisting on soul sand in the sheltered tunnels/caves of the nether.
The Mourner: Emerges from ground, appears like a phantom covered in dried skulk but crawls on the ground with its thicker spine like a snake/centipede. Its face has a gaping hole (like the warden) but no jaw since it’s not upright. Its sensors are white & slightly front-facing like horns. It has no shriek attack, but does move faster and can crawl up walls. Since it can crawl up, it just ignores lava instead of floating atop it. It spawns every time a shrieker is set off, but has half health & damage of warden (inflicts nausea to the player). It can hear the player from further away, but cannot smell them (If obstructed mid-chase, it will dig down & out to a more suitable spot). It has a special attack that charges straight to player’s position if making sound from further than 6 blocks away, when reaching a wall it would stun itself. If one dies, it has a chance to spread skulk & generate natural shriekers. When killed, they have a chance to drop catalysts and soul sand. They sound like deeper-pitched, slowed down phantoms.
