I think the Bogged in the newest snapshot would be a better addition with more functionality.
I think the functionality of the Bogged and Stray are too similar, and tipped arrows aren't a cool enough reward for them to have them stand out.
A cool idea I think could work would be for them to have a rare drop (akin to the nautilus shell) which can be combined with another treasure only found inside witch huts to create an item used to cure witches into a unique villager variant. They would have a lot of desirable rare trades, proving an alternative to witch farms, and also in turn provide another source of emeralds from selling renewable items. I feel this keeps in the swamp theme and gives the bogged a niche which makes them stand out.
Gameplay loop concept:
Find a Witch Hut to find item A, kill Bogged to find X amount of item B.
Craft A and B together into item C.
Brew Item C (without it being consumed) into a new splash potion.
The new splash potion can then be used and combined with a golden apple to cure Witches (or via a new mechanic).
