Upgrading Villages after trading items with villagers and protecting them

!NEEDS TO BE FOR A MAJOR UPDATE! After trading with all the villagers to the max, have the villagers able to build and defend their village. Same with each time you save them from raids. You would gather supplies, drop them off in a Villager Drop Off, and they will build with the materials you give them, even if it’s in a different biome than the materials you supply them

I can undertand, but I'm fearing that villagers will attack strong ennemies and risk to die. It's actually a problem that I have in an other game, when usefuls npc are dying because they attacked a big monster without armor and a simple knife. That's why we have iron golems instead.
