Do you know what Minecraft needs? Themes.
Themes would make an easy way for players to customize their User Interface and HUD a bit more.
This could be implemented by adding a new "Customization" menu to the settings screen. This menu would include a new section for themes, and the global resource packs. This would also involve moving the already existing Classic/Pocket drop down, and some HUD related items from Video Settings to this menu.
Since the UI of Bedrock Edition is getting a refresh, this is a great time to add this feature.
Some examples of prepackaged UI themes would include:
- Modern - The new, updated Ore UI. This would also be preset for new players.
- Classic - This would be the same UI that has been in Bedrock Edition for the past few years.
- Java - This would be a Java Edition themed UI, since there is a large amount of players that are already used to that UI. The title screen could look like Java's, but still have the Marketplace button and the other Bedrock Edition features, for example.
- Legacy - This would mimic the Legacy Console Edition's UI, but keep Bedrock Edition's features, as with the Java style.
This could also add a new section to the Marketplace's sidebar, which creators can make new themes to purchase. Also, just like resource packs, it should be able to be downloaded and installed from anywhere.
I can't wait to see what the new Ore UI will become, especially the in-game menus, and I hope to see more customization coming to the game soon.
