Axolotls eats food like foxes to not leave behind a mess of floating items

When you place a lot of axolotls in the ocean, it would leave a huge mess of dead fish and it can potentially cause lag to certain devices. Also, the axolotl was described as a predator and it makes no sense that it is never seen eating the mobs that it hunts making it more like a mob that kills for fun than anything. I think Axolotls should pick up the fish they kill and eat it on their mouths like what foxes do after killing rabbits and chickens for the sake of reducing lag/a mess of items and to make them more realistic. For players who use axolotls to farm fish, maybe if the player feeds them a tropical fish in a bucket, they will attack but not eat the fish.
