There's a problem with the trial keys and trial vaults, and it's more pronounced in singleplayer. There can only be so many trial vaults in a Minecraft world before trial keys become junk, so there needs to be a way or another function to them to "burn" and use up excess trial keys, because they are certainly renewable.
A solution I have here is for some trial vaults to require multiple trial keys. This can be indicated by the number of sides that have keyholes, and the more keyholes the trial vault has, the better the loot should be.
However, that merely kicks the can down the road, so I have something better. There would be a moderately wide and tall room, with what looks like a trial vault with four keyholes in the center. The player(s) may end up thinking it would offer the ultimate loot, but instead, it summons the boss of the Trial Chambers, perhaps being the Giant from past versions of Minecraft, making a suitable comeback for it. Once defeated, the boss trial spawner can be reactivated with four more trial keys, and probably with a cooldown.
