Imagine this: You've just got your Bluetooth keyboard all set up on your iPad with its respective case, ready to play in a whole new way compared to the boring old tapping and swiping you've done before with your bulky fingers occasionally blocking your precious view. You then realize that your Apple Pencil could be used as a stylus, similar to one of the Nintendo DS, to further improve the action, by way of performing actions that exclusively use touch otherwise and thus cannot use the keyboard at all, such as inventory management and actual handwriting to write text on signs. Then you try it and realize it doesn't work at all--the game doesn't even support Apple Pencil.
Isn't it frustrating that such a simple yet powerful QoL feature has never been implemented in the port's ten-year existence? It isn't just inconvenient to have to reach all the way out to the screen to move stuff in your inventory for example, just like having an incorrect working posture, it can lead to strained muscles that are gonna hurt in the morning at best, and actual health issues such as arthritis and overstretched muscles and tendons at worst requiring chiropractic treatments and other unpleasant trips to the doctor's office. The Apple Pencil solves all this by giving the end user a small but vital extra reach to the screen, similar to a tablet PC or Nintendo DS stylus, allowing them to manage their chests and finetune their settings and even do handwriting on signs rather than type if they desire.
