idea for villagers follow you

We have all had complications transporting villagers, it is extremely tedious, very boring and can go very wrong since your villager dies, or your entire progress in transporting him is a complete failure and this all gets worse when a village is generated in a mountain. Minecraft has been around for more than 14 years and there is still no decent way to transform the villagers into our farms or houses, that is why I propose a simple solution is to make the villagers follow you with just one emerald, the villager will want you. emerald and so we could take it to our farm or houses. This would make a lot of sense since we must remember that the villagers observed that you bring an emerald and they will always show you the object that they are selling you, a simple change but that would solve our lives easily.
