Foxes as Pets

We know about the wolf being a companion, aiding you in battle, the cat bringing items to you and lying in bed by your side, axolotls helping with more aquatic adventures. These companions are amazing, but it feels like another cute creature gets the short end of the stick.

Foxes would be a great mob to tame and have as a furry friend. They could bring you various items, harvest crops for you, or maybe help with digging up pottery sherds!

While sweet berries are their favorite food, they could be tamed with glow berries, similar to how wolves can be tamed with bones while their favorite food is meat. Once tamed with the glow berries, they will no longer be afraid of you. This can be a new way to have foxes trust you without breeding two foxes, only for the baby to trust you.

Foxes deserve the treatment wolves and cats and axolotls get, and I believe this would be a loved addition to Minecraft.
