I prefer playing with doMobSpawning set to false so that I don't have to fight hostile mobs all the time, but that also prevents mobs I want to spawn in from spawning (ie. wandering traders, passive mobs). I wish this would be separated into seperate rules like this for example:
- doPeacefulMobSpawning
- doHostileMobSpawning
Mobs that already have a rule controlling their spawning (like wardens (and wandering traders in this change)) would only be controlled by said rule and could ignore the other rule that applied to them. For me, this means I wouldn't have to deal with wardens, but would be able to trade with wandering traders in my world. Right now to get wandering traders, I need to craft a spawn egg but I'd prefer it if they spawned naturally.
