I've got an exciting idea that could add a whole new dimension to Minecraft updates, especially during events like Minecraft Live—incorporating a surprise biome update vote into the usual mob vote process. For instance, during Minecraft Live, after the mob vote, Mojang announces a secret vote at the end for the next biome update. As the event wraps up, reveal three potential biomes to be updated—let's say, Dark Oak Forests, Plains, and Jungles. The community then gets to vote on the winning biome, and the chosen one gets a glorious update!
But that's not all. Fast forward to the next year, and we have another round of voting, but this time for specific features within the winning biome. Let's use the example of the Jungle biome winning. Here are three feature options:
Option 1: Monkeys and bananas (similar to how apples drop from trees currently). Trade bananas with monkeys (similar to piglins) for food or mid-tier loot.
Option 2: Introduce jungle villagers with a use for the currently underutilized fletching table.
Option 3: Change the appearance of jungle trees and add more realistic rainfall in the biome, mimicking real-life jungles.
Depending on who won first is what gets added first. For example: #1 won 1st, #3 got 2nd, and #2 got last. Option 1 would be in development first, followed up with Option 3, then 2.
I hope you like my idea! <3
