Farmable fish

A good idea to expand the farming system adding additional layer of depth, is by making a breedable fish mob which leads to making a 3D farms in the water.
It is a bigger size fish similar to cow in drops dropping a food(8 hunger points) and fish fins, these fins can be used in order to make fertilizer for crops and trees(fruit trees if added), one piece of this fertilizer can be added to a one farmland whether there is a crop or not and it will speed up crop growth rate and this farmland block will still be affected for couple of times it’s used, another use is for trees by crafting a full fertilizer block which when placed in certain radius of the tree it will boost it.
A good type of food for that fish to breed is either beetroot or a crop I thought of which is corn, a two blocks size crop which takes double the time to harvest but gives triple the amount of food, also making it very hard to see mobs or players  through corn fields.

    nice tip thank you, also the skeleton mob is useful for arrows and skeleton farm is useful for xp and arrows which means they will not get nerfed, and now I have better understanding of your approach in updating the game but the creative inventory will get bigger as time goes by anyway, which I believe it will get better solutions in the future
