Hi, I play Minecraft Pocket edition, and I have ADHD and SPD, and I thought of a way to improve the game for people with SPD. An idea that I have is an accessibility feature that allows people to turn off certain sounds, and replace them with an alternate noise that still fits, but is slightly different. I’m going to focus on the skulk sensor noise, cuz that’s what I immediately think of. The skulk sensor noise for me sounds like how jiggly, runny, sticky slime feels, which is a texture even neurotypical people can agree sucks. The noise causes me to not want to go in the deep dark/ cave at all, and if I do, I play music on my phone (I play on my tablet) or FaceTime my friend group at the same time, to drown out the noise. But if I were to be able to replace the noise with, for example, a small beep that sounds close enough to a skulk sensor for me to recognize it, but doesn’t sound like the texture of runny slime, I would have so many more materials. I’ll answer your big question quickly “what if the beep and the normal sound both trigger someone” the answer is custom sounds, or just a sound that is just someone straight up saying “skulk sensor”.
