In my opinion minecraft has become much to easy. It seems more of a conquest game than a survival game now. Once you get netherite armor and enchant it barely anything can actually kill you. So many things have been added that make the game easier without being balanced out. The nether update however was well done. Netherite was added but to get it was difficult because of ancient debris rarity. A good aspect of it was increasIng nether fortresses rarity 3x, and making players having to go through four new challenging biomes to find one. This made the nether a much more challenging obstacle. An idea I have is to add more to the hunger bar by making different biomes affect how much different foods will give to your hunger bar. An example of this is to say a player traveled into the snow biome. Since it would naturally be colder there there hunger bar could run down faster and if they ate a steak it would only add 3 to there hunger bar instead of 4. This could make the overworked a bit more challenging requiring players to put a bit more preparation into there journeys. I also suggest to add back how level 30 enchantments would take away all 30 levels. Now I know this would be very controversial but hear me out. Now days all a player has to do is get a couple villagers and they get access to unlimited enchantments and diamond armor. Add8ng this feature back would make enchantments much more difficult and make the progression more challenging. youtube.com/watch?v=5mZs01p7pVk
