I’m not going to complain about the pricing, but just request a change. It would make a lot of people happy if Realms were free. So, I have a solution. Every Minecraft account gets one free Realm, with a max of 2 players on at one time. This deal would be available for Java and Bedrock users. This way, the free version is not the same value as the cheaper deal, but is still another option.
