(Feedback Site) Helpers

What are Helpers?

Helpers are chosen by this site’s moderators. They help keep this feedback site tidy and organised. Anyone who is a Helper will have a Helper tag. Moderators should have a tag, too.

What Happens to Helpers if they are becoming suspended?

If a helper tries to be suspended from this feedback site, they will become a normal user. In that case, the user will not be suspended. The user also cannot be a helper for a year once a suspension attempt is made on them. The user will lose helper privileges on suspension attempt, but not normal user privileges. In egregious cases, the user will actually be suspended, either temporarily or permanently. 

What helpers can do:

  • Helpers can post unlimited posts and comments a day.
  • Helpers can also choose to approve or disapprove other’s posts that are pending approval.
  • Helpers can do everything a normal user can.
  • Helpers can edit and delete other’s comments.
  • More post and comment sorting options are available to helpers. Examples are oldest post, newest comment, least recent post activity.

What helpers cannot do:

These options are not available to helpers:

  • Make official comments.
  • Make articles.
  • Add tags to posts.
  • Edit other’s posts.
  • Delete other’s posts.
  • Approve their own posts that are pending approval.

Who should be a helper:

Only people who work quite hard on this site should be a helper. The user’s helper status can be given by Mojang Studios and the moderators.

The moderator of this feedback site giving the helper status should be Inkycatz.

    Also helpers should have the ability to make new feedback post categories.

    Maybe helpers should be able to remove posts, but only the ones that the moderators mark as spam or is pending approval.

    If helpers make post categories that contain profanity, they will be suspended, either temporarily or permanently.

    Helpers can feature posts, but a moderator will have to approve the featuring of the post first.

    If a helper makes a new post category, a moderator will have to approve it first. Helpers cannot edit or delete categories that are not their own. Posts in categories that get rejected have a 50/50 chance to be moved to another random category, or deleted.

    Category descriptions are approved separately from categories. If a category description gets rejected, the category loses its description. Remember not all categories on the Feedback Website have a description.

    When a user is ready to become a helper, a button will be shown at the top of their user profile.
