In the last Beta and snapshots, the new Armadillo mob was revealed, and I have some thoughts about how to change and improve it.
My first thought is to change how the Armadillo hides in its shell. I think that it’s looking pretty strange and not logical that it doesn’t hide its head, because this is the most important body part that it should protect. I suggest that the Armadillo will hide all its body in the shell including the head, so it’ll be more logical. And when it’s unrolling, instead of unrolling at the first onset, it’ll protrude the head, check if the danger is still near, and depending on this will unroll or not.
The second change I suggest is the way to get Armadillo scutes. I like the way to get them with a brush, but it’s a bit strange that the player can get lots of them so fast. I suggest that after a few times, the armor of the Armadillo will disappear, and will grow again only after some time. In my opinion this will be cool, and will prevent the player from getting at once all the scutes he needs.
And finally, I want to change the crafting recipe of dog armor. Because there are many people that didn't understand that to take this armor off they need to cut the straps that hold it, and there are straps on the texture of it, I suggest adding strings to the crafting recipe, so it'll be logical and clear.
I think these changes will make the Armadillo behavior and the interaction with it more interesting, logical, and immersive, so I would like to see them.
