In the new snapshot, there's the new entity attributes like Scale and Interaction Range and Step Height. I really liked and had fun with the new Scale attribute, but I was thinking if there is going to be more attributes that completely changes the entity's behaviors like;
- generic.vertical_speed [set value] = Modifies the entity's fall and jump speed but can also change the fall damage calculation, good for adventure maps that takes place in any places outside of the planet.
- generic.swim_speed [set value] = Modifies the entity's swimming speed and it's more noticeable with Drowned mobs but it's really useful for custom player abilities too! (Setting the value to 0 can make the entity sink in water instead)
- generic.breath_threshold [scaling value] = Changes how long the entity can breath underwater and lower values can deplete breath gauge faster, but higher values can make the entity take longer to drown.
- generic.jump_height [set value] = Don't be confused with the generic.vertical_speed attribute, this attribute works similar as Jump Boost potion effect but it's permanent.
- generic.fall_damage_threshold [scaling value] = Modifies how much damage the entity will take by fall damages, lower values decreases the fall damage taken and higher values increases the fall damage taken.
These new custom attributes being added in the game would be really good for adventure maps and can give the developers more freedom in creating custom datapacks that expand Minecraft's limits further beyond!
