Who doesn't know the tamed wolf? Our legendary four legs friend that helped us out to deal with the hostile mobs at night in our very first time as PvE players. We all have built little huts for them or dyed their necklade for once at least, just admit it!
Nevertheless, it is known without any doubt by oldies that both wolves' codelines and AI are completely primitive and outdated after more than a decade of their creation in the game (12 years to be more exact)
That's the main reason I purpose Mojang's develpment team to work in a new "Wolf AI Update", now that they recently got their own armor. I'm a very fan of the "Dogmadillo" by the way!
These are my ideas:
- To let goat horns (or a new instrument) to control entirely wolves' teleporting hability, so you can decide when you want them to teleport to you.
- A new way for wolves to tarjet and attack more than one enemy simultanely (If they are two or more they would divide equitatively to defeat monsters)
- A bonus team damage boost when they exceed a certain number of members: 1/2 heart of damage increase per new tamed wolf when they reach the 4th member for all of them and up to more.
- Tamed wolves should avoid staying or taking contact with dangerous blocks (cactus, magma blocks, powder snow)
- Tamed wolves should avoid falling from cliffs after tarjeting an enemy.
- Tamed wolves should not teleport to underwater/waterloged locations.
If you love Minecraft's tamed wolves as much as we do, support this post!
