Giving players named items with commands and not structure blocks

I'm doing this super cool build and I have this npc and it’s supposed to give you a block called “box of toys” but I don’t think there’s a command for it and this guy on YouTube says you can do it with a structure block but I want my npc to do it (without any mods)!

    This would be so useful! They have it on Java why cant we have it?? It makes no sense. I paid for this game mojang.
